Sikhlens Arts and Film Festival

Great day at the first Sikhlens festival in the UK.

Thanks to Bicky Singh, Harinder Singh, Sangat Television (Official) Nishkam Centre for arranging a great day.

The Sikhmuseum team: Gurinder Singh Mann, Kartar Singh, Raj Mann was in full effect engaging with participants. Showing relics in 3D on our touchscreens and through Virtual Realty backed by the technologist Taran3D. Thanks to Bhai Sahib Mohinder Singh (Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha Birmingham UK) visiting the 3D setup

There was numerous films which excited everyone. Gurinder Singh Mann was on a panel on Sikh history where he discussed the ” Sikh Troops War Memorial” movie by Punjab2000, whilst Rav Singh discussed the “WW1 Kishan Devi Postcard” film.

Whilst Taran Singh was on the panel explaining of merits of digital technology. There was many stalls which showcased artwork and other areas of Sikhi including the The Sikh Games, Raj Singh Tattal the Pentacularartist, Sikh Colouring Books, Global Sikh Vision, Amrit Kaur and many others.

There will be more Sikhlens Arts programmes coming in the UK.
