This event will showcase the creation of a new 3D model of a rare Sikh manuscript held at the Special Collections, The David Wilson Library, University of Leicester. The manuscript, which contains writings from the Sikh Scriptures, was presented to the University by Harry Hardy Peach in the 1920s.

The University’s manuscript which was found on the battlefield of Ferozeshah during the First Anglo Sikh War of 1845-1846. The manuscript has been brought vividly to life through the use of 3d technology by the Sikh Museum Initiative and Taran3d for display in the Anglo Sikh Virtual Museum. The 3d model shows the external binding of the item in stunning detail, with a single page opening. It is hoped that this will form the basis for making the full contents of this important manuscript available in future.
